MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The cabinet of Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid bin Daghr had returned to the country and was planning to "ensure security" and to "strengthen the state," Al Arabiya broadcaster reported citing sources familiar with the situation.
The government had already made several attempts to relocate to Aden but they failed due to unstable security situation in the city, the broadcaster added. The country's capital of Sanaa is controlled by the Houthi rebels.
Yemen has been engulfed in a military conflict between the exiled government, headed by President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, and the Houthi rebels, the country’s main opposition force, which have been supported by army units loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
A coalition led by Saudi Arabia has been carrying out airstrikes on Houthi positions at Hadi's request since March 2015.
