UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) — Russia has never had a so-called Plan B for Syria as Moscow categorically rules out a military solution to the Syrian crisis, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Friday.
"We don't have any Plan B because we are convinced that there is no military solution to this crisis," Lavrov said at a news conference following his address to the UN General Assembly.
"We never mentioned Plan B. It was mentioned by our partners, mentioned and then denied. But I trust [US State Secretary] John Kerry when he says that he is convinced there is no military solution, and this is absolutely our position as well," Lavrov stressed.
