Russian and US military could within a few days formalize an agreement on basic rules of the exchange of information about aviation activities in Syria.

Washington 'Deliberately Sabotages' Russia-US Agreement on Syria
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian and US military could within a few days formalize an agreement on basic rules of the exchange of information about aviation activities of the two sides in Syria, media reported.

"The work on the document is in its final stage and may be finished in a few days. Duty officers at Hmeymim airbase and at Inherent Resolve military base in Baghdad will have official documents regulating the information exchange and the reports schedule. A special protocol will be in place for emergencies," Russian Izvestia newspaper reported, citing an unnamed source.

According to the newspaper, at the moment, Russian and US armed forces interact based on informal oral agreements reached at the video conference on September, 22.

Neither Russian Foreign Ministry, nor Defense Ministry have officially confirmed this information.
