WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The five-year contract from NASA’s Ames Research Center is aimed at “maintaining and improving the safety, security and performance of the National Airspace System (NAS) and National Rail System (NRS),” the release stated.
Booz Allen Hamilton will help analyze data on accidents, hazards and other safety-related matters disclosed through the federal Aviation Safety Reporting and Confidential Close Call Reporting systems, according to the release.
The consulting company also said it will participate in management of both systems, process incident and safety-hazard reports, and ensure the data remain confidential and secure.
