A delegation of top officials from India and China discussed ways to strengthen counter-terrorism cooperation between the two countries. The group addressed enhancing security cooperation, including sharing counter-terrorism intelligence between the two neighboring countries. Furthermore, during the ‘India-China High Level Dialogue on Counter Terrorism and Security’ both countries discussed their cooperation in combating terrorism.
During the first-ever high level counter-terrorism and security meeting, officials from both countries shared information on policies and legislation that had been used in their respective countries to deal with terrorism and exchanged views on the international and regional security situation.
The countries held detailed discussions on enhancing cooperation in counter terrorism and security. They also discussed the ways and means to jointly deal with security threats and combat terrorism.
In light of increasing threats from the various terror groups, a consensus is being built between India and China to counter the growing menace of terrorism. The countries feel this is a prerequisite for the growth and stability of the region.
