MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The so-called initial radar images of the Ukrainian airspace on the day the Malaysia Airlines flight crashed were submitted to the Russian Defense Ministry last week by Almaz-Antey, whose subsidiary produces and manages civil radars. The concern also builds Buk air defense systems which missile, according to the Dutch Safety Board report, downed the plane.
"The Dutch Safety Board has presented its final report concerning the crash of flight MH17 on 13 October 2015. Since the presentation, we have followed all publicity about the investigation, but up until this day there is no issued information that affect the conclusions of our final report," Vernooij said.
The Malaysia Airlines MH17 flight crashed with 298 people on board on July 17, 2014, in eastern Ukraine, while en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam, leaving no survivors. Kiev and Donbass militia have blamed each other for the downing of the plane.
Most of the victims were Dutch citizens, and the DSB was chosen to head the international investigation into the incident.
