MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev discussed joint energy projects with his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim over the phone, the Russian Cabinet of Ministers said in a statement Tuesday.
"Dmitry Medvedev and Binali Yildirim also discussed topical trade and economic cooperation issues, the implementation of major joint energy projects, including the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant and the Turkish Stream gas pipeline," the statement reads.
It added that the prime ministers coordinated a schedule of upcoming bilateral meetings.
