Nevertheless, the JIT said that the prosecutors do not link the MH17 downing to the Russian state of Russian citizens' actions.
The team said that there are some 100 people involved "in one way of another" in the MH17 plane's downing.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that the data provided by the JIT and conclusions made on its basis cause doubts.
"We have carefully examined today's statement by the representatives of the Dutch investigation team probing the Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 MH17 flight's catastrophe over Ukraine. Let me remind you that all data, which was presented today at the briefing of the investigative group, has two main sources: the Internet and the Ukrainian special services. Therefore, the objectivity of this information, and, consequently, findings made on its basis cause doubt," Lt. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.
The Russian Defense Ministry denied that a Buk missile defense system had crossed the Ukrainian border from Russia as the investigators claimed earlier in the day.
"No Russian anti-aircraft missile systems, including BUKs, have never crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border. This is what we responsibly declared immediately after the crash [of MH17 flight] on July 17, 2014."
The Russian Defense Ministry will continue providing all necessary assistance in the investigation of the crash of the MH17 plane in eastern Ukraine, spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.
The Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam when it was downed over eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014. All 298, including 80 children and 15 crew members, were killed.
