WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Investigators believe the homicide, in South Carolina’s Anderson County, is connected to an earlier shooting at Townville Elementary School, WBTW television reported, citing the county coroner.
Earlier, local media reported that two children and a teacher suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the school shooting. At least one of the children was airlifted to the trauma center at nearby Greenville Memorial Hospital.
County sheriff’s deputies said a suspect was taken into custody and police were clearing the school. The assailant is believed to be a teenager, according to media reports.
