MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The woman, 56-year-old Elfeta Veseli, is suspected of killing 12-year-old Serbian Slobodan Stojanovic in 1992 near the Kamenica village in the Zvornik area of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The murder was reportedly carried out in an exceptionally brutal manner.
"The prosecution has been informed that the suspect objected to voluntary extradition from Switzerland to Bosnia and Herzegovina under a simplified procedure, so activities will be launched for her extradition and deportation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she will stand trial, will begin in the upcoming period," the prosecution said in a statement quoted by The Balkan Insight on Thursday.
In 1992, Bosnia and Herzegovina announced its secession from Yugoslavia, triggering a war in the republic between Bosnian Muslims, Bosnian Serbs and Bosnian Croats, which lasted until 1995.
