MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The draft of the decree on Bashneft oil company's privatization has referred to the government office, First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said Saturday.
"We handed it over in the morning," Shuvalov said adding that he did not know if it had been signed.
On Friday, the first deputy prime minister said that Russia's oil giant Rosneft would not be limited in its right to take part in the auctioning of Bashneft.
Earlier this year, the Russian government announced plans to sell 50.08 percent of shares it held in Bashneft, estimated at up to 315 billion rubles ($5 billion) but then put the auction off in favor of Rosneft’s privatization.
