KYOTO (Sputnik) – Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe presented a bilateral economic plan during his visit to Russia's southern city of Sochi in May. The plan covers such areas as oil and gas development and the modernization of ports and airports in the Far East.
"I have no doubts, that one of the key elements [necessary] for successful implementation of the plan is also development of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of science, technology and innovations," Dvorkovich said at the international Science and Technology in Society forum.
In September, Far East Development Minister Alexander Galushka and Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Hiroshige Seko discussed 18 various infrastructure projects.
