In his next post on Twitter Dion added, that Canadian assistance is aimed at helping Ukraine national police "to become more effective, accountable & community-focused."
In September Canadian Armed Forces Military Police provided three-week training to their Ukrainian counterparts in preparation for a NATO-led exercise in 2017.
