ASTANA (Kazakhstan), (Sputnik) — Last week, Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) member nations agreed to freeze daily oil output at 32.5-33 million barrels per day in an attempt to stabilize falling oil prices.
"We said that we are ready to support the efforts to freeze oil production. The level of freezing is up for discussion, but on the whole, we are ready to support it," Ulyukayev told reporters in Kazakhstan.
Russia is due to hold consultations with OPEC on ways to stabilize the volatile oil market in the coming months.
