KIEV (Sputnik) – Last year, then-Ukrainian Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Kvit approved a concept of national patriotic education aimed at restoring historic memory of state traditions of Ukraine and creation of national consciousness.
"The corresponding letter about impossibility of using this textbook in the educational-bringing-up process because of the incompatibility of contents of the pages dedicated to the state symbols of Russia with foundations of the patriotic education of pupils has already been sent to regional educational bodies, rectors/director of institutes and academies of postgraduate pedagogic education, directors of research guidance centers and heads of methodic departments," the ministry’s press service said in a statement.
