MOSCOW (Sputnik) — UK Prime Minister Theresa May said Wednesday that she wanted a Brexit deal between the country and the European Union to include free trade in goods and services, as well as cooperation in the sphere of counterterrorism.
"Let me be clear about the agreement [between London and Brussels] we seek. I want it to reflect the strong and mature relationships we enjoy with our European friends. I want it to include cooperation on law enforcement and counterterrorism work. I want it to involve free trade in goods and services. I want it to give British companies the maximum freedom to trade with and operate within the single market," May said at the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham.
