PARIS (Sputnik) – An Ariane 5 rocket has successfully lifted off from the Guiana Space Center in French Guiana with two satellites, the Arianespace launch operator reports.
"Sky Muster™ II and GSAT-18 are the 542nd and 543rd satellites to be launched by Arianespace," the company said on its website reporting a "success" launch status.
The launch of the Ariane 5 rocket with the satellites was carried out at 20:30 GMT on Wednesday.
The launch is the fifth Ariane 5 launch from the Guiana Space Center this year.
The Sky Muster II satellite belongs to Australian operator nbn (National Broadband Network), and the GSAT-18 satellite – to the Indian space agency ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization).
