The BRICS countries may consider the possibility of creating a fund to restore Syria, according to an Indian government source.

NEW DELHI (Sputnik) – India may bring out an initiative of establishing a fund to restore the post-war Syria at the upcoming BRICS summit, a government source said Friday.

The BRICS summit will take place in Goa on October 15-16.

"The BRICS countries may consider the possibility of creating a fund to restore Syria," the source told reporters, adding that India would be the one to propose this initiative.
