TBILISI (Sputnik) – The ruling Georgian Dream Party is leading in the parliamentary elections in Georgia, backed by 39.9 percent of the electorate, according to the exit poll results by the GFK company.
Georgian ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili's United National Movement (UNM) party is in the second place, with 32.74 percent of public support. Alliance of Patriots of Georgia are also set to gain seats in the parliament, having won some 5.76 percent of votes, the exit polls suggest.
According to Rustavi TV broadcaster, which ordered and published the exit poll, its data is not final and the vote counting is still continuing.
