In 1991 a wooden bust of Vladimir Lenin washed up ashore near the Turkish town of Akçakoca located on the country's Black Sea coast. The mayor’s office initially intended to install the bust at the town square, but due to bureaucratic the sculpture ended up in the repository of a local museum.
This affair however attracted considerable attention from tourists, and now Turkish screenwriter Barış Bıçakçı and director Tufan Taştan decided to create a movie about how the lives of the town's residents could’ve been affected if the bust was installed in the town square.

According to CNN Türk, preparations for filming the movie – a dark comedy called 'You, Me, Lenin' – are expected to begin shortly.
