KIEV (Sputnik) – EU and Ukrainian leaders will gather in Brussels, Belgium on November 24 for a summit on EU-Ukraine association deal and free access to the borderless Schengen area for Ukrainians, President Petro Poroshenko said Monday.
"I’ve agreed with EU partners to hold the 18th Ukraine-EU summit in Brussels on November 24," the Ukrainian president tweeted.
The ratification process of EU’s 2014 association deal with Ukraine halted last April after more than 61 percent of Dutch voters rejected the accord in a non-binding referendum.
Other issues on the summit’s agenda include the creation of a free trade zone and a common aviation area between Ukraine and 28 EU member states, Ukraine’s comprehensive reforms and sanctions against Russia.
