MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On Tuesday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin would have to cancel his visit to Paris due to a scheduling conflict. The Russian president expressed hope that he and French President Francois Hollande would find another opportunity to discuss Syria, having cancelled his visit to Paris.
"It seems as if this it is not the most appropriate moment for official events on this issue, against the backdrop of our lack of understanding, to say the least, on what is happening in Syria, especially in Aleppo. Aside from this we of course are always open for dialogue," Putin told the TF1 television channel.
"If the main purpose of my visit to Paris is inappropriate, then we can probably find another opportunity to meet and discuss Syria. We have no limitations on this issue, we are always open for dialogue," Putin added.
