MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Potential victory at the upcoming US presidential elections of Republican nominee Donald Trump would give rise to different threats posed in regard to the international community, UN human rights chief Zeid Ra'ad Hussein said Wednesday.
"If Donald Trump is elected, on the basis of what he has said already and unless that changes, I think it's without any doubt that he would be dangerous from an international point of view," Zeid said at a press conference in Geneva, as quoted by the UK Independent newspaper.
Trump could become the next US president if he wins over the Democratic Party's Hilary Clinton in the November elections.
In the course of his campaign, the Republican candidate has been widely criticized for his controversial statements, including with regard to immigrants, refugees, Latin Americans, Muslims, and women.
