“On 12 October, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania summoned the Ambassador of Russia to Lithuania Alexander Udaltsov who received a diplomatic note that expressed concerns over repeated violations by the Russian Navy of the rights and freedoms of the sovereign Republic of Lithuania and other states in the exclusive economic zone of Lithuania in the Baltic Sea,” the statement read.
The ministry reiterated concerns over deployment of the Iskander-M ballistic missile system in Russia's Kaliningrad region and flights of Russian planes over the Baltic Sea.
Responding to various similar accusations by Lithuania in the past weeks, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russian aircraft and warships did not violate international law and did not cross the Baltic states’ borders.
