KIEV (Sputnik) — Ukraine is entering this winter's heating season with 14.7 billion cubic meters of gas with no further reserves envisioned, Naftogaz First Deputy Chairman Serhiy Pereloma said Thursday.
"As of today, the accumulated natural gas balance in underground storage facilities is 14.750 billion cubic meters, which gives us the confidence to say that it is sufficient for Naftogaz Ukraine to fulfill all its commitments in providing gas to all consumers," Pereloma said.
Speaking at a select hearing with government and regional officials, Pereolma said "today's figures are almost final" and no replenishment of reserves is envisioned.
