MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The French president expressed hope that a unified roadmap needed to implement Minsk agreements would be outlined soon, the statement added.
"The president of the Republic stressed that he was ready to meet again in the coming days in the Normandy format that should give an impetus to a quick resolution of the crisis," the statement reads.
Earlier in the day, Hollande and Poroshenko held telephone talks and coordinated further consultations of diplomats of Normandy Four countries' leaders on the situation in eastern Donbas, the region in Ukraine shattered by an armed conflict.
On Wednesday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the leaders of Russia, Germany and France failed to agree on a specific date for fresh round of Ukrainian reconciliation talks in Normandy Four format.
