SIMFEROPOL (Sputnik) — The document was signed in the Crimean parliament in the presence of the Italian delegation that is currently on a visit to the Black Sea peninsula.
"The sides assist in the development of cultural and tourism projects, including town twinning, as well as strengthening ties between the population of Crimea and the region of Veneto," the document reads.
The parties plan to cooperate in the field of industrial and trade relations, modern technologies as well as to attract investments, launch joint scientific projects and carry out research projects.
"The main element of the development of bilateral ties will be a regular exchange of delegations, the participation in exhibitions, trading fairs and congresses, conducted in Crimea and Veneto," the declaration added.
The members of the delegation are due to take part in a number of events dedicated to the Russian-Italian and the Crimean-Italian relations, common cultural heritage and economic projects.
