New Delhi (Sputnik) — A man in Kashpur Village of Indian state of Bihar had to pay heavy price for reporting electricity theft in his village. According to the police, the accused, Nand Kumar was arrested after electricity officials raided the village to prevent electrical theft.
Nand Kumar suspected that the victim, Pawan Rai was responsible for passing the information of the theft to police and electricity authorities.
An enraged Nand Kumar along with his friends attacked Pawan Rai on Wednesday night and after beating him, cut his tongue off to punish him. Pawan was taken to hospital by his family members and is said to be out of danger.
All of the accused are absconding. Police have registered a case and are searching for the culprits.
