Uniti is a lightweight electric city car developed at Lund University. The three-wheeler is a two-seater with a retro-futuristic design resembling the 1980s sci-fi classic "Tron," and a 15 kW motor. Uniti's affordable trike is expected to be able to travel up to 150 kilometers at speeds of 90km/hr.

According to Uniti's design team, which puts a great focus on sustainability, conventional cars are excessively powerful and large, whereas a radical scaling down yields both efficiency and environmental benefits, Uniti informed. At the same time, the user is expected to enjoy same high standards as in conventional vehicles, the Swedish tabloid newspaper Expressen reported.
According to Uniti's guidelines, the initial target group is comprised of high-earning Western European urban professionals in the 25-34 age bracket. Sweden, Germany, Great Britain and France have 30 million people in this segment. However, the group of prospective buyers could be expanded to include technically interested people of all ages. According to Uniti, these are expected to be conscious, media-hungry and tech-savvy individuals, enlightened in many aspects of social life, yet not tied to existing brands.
So far, Uniti has received pre-orders from over 140 people.
