Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s alleged lack of memory is a sign that she is afraid her emails might be fully disclosed, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in press release.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On Thursday, Clinton’s lawyers said in a document that the former secretary of state denied in written responses under penalty of perjury that she has no memory of being instructed that using a private email account violated US federal laws.

"Hillary Clinton’s alleged failures of memory are incredible and show she fears full disclosure about her emails," Fitton said on Friday.

In the document, Clinton repeated 20 times in formal answers that she had no recollection of receiving any specific consultations regarding the decision to use the clintonemail.com account for State Department business.

Clinton claimed in her answers that she had no motive other than convenience in her decision to use a private email account, the document recorded.

In 2015, Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server and account during her tenure as US Secretary of State for work related purposes, contrary to established rules and regulations, became publicly known.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted a criminal probe whether Clinton intended to break US law by using a private server and email account.

Judicial Watch, however, has filed a civil suit to retrieve the contents of the emails Clinton was legally required to return to the State Department once she ended her tenure as secretary of state.

Clinton had erased 33,000 of her emails after receiving a subpoena to submit them, while her closest associates destroyed at least 13 blackberry and related devices used to communicate.
