GOA (Sputnik) — The New Development Bank (NDB) calls on the BRICS members to share their expertise in the areas of success in order to keep agile and come up with innovative projects, NDB President Kundapur Vaman Kamath told Sputnik on Sunday.
"We believe that the members of BRICS can share knowledge in the areas of success, rather than trying to find answers on their own," Kamath stressed. "We want to live up to 'New' in the New Development Bank and keep ourselves agile, innovate in terms of projects and financial products."
According to Kamath, the BRICS format of cooperation proves that emerging countries are the major players on the economic scene and they are pushing the global development forward.
The NDB was created in July 2014 by the BRICS member states — Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa — to mobilize resources for infrastructure and sustainable development projects.
