The 18-member delegation of Italian lawmakers and businessmen, representing the Italian regions of Veneto, Liguria, Lombardy, Toscana and Emilia-Romagna, are currently visiting the cities of the Crimean peninsula — Simferopol, Sevastopol and Yalta.
"We have two wineries, we are modernizing them, we need assistance from the Italian colleagues with the equipment supplies. Italian grapes seedlings are the best and we want to cooperate in this sphere. We also want to gain experience in wine tourism, as it has prospects in Russia and our own experience is little," Director General of Inkerman, one of Crimea’s largest wineries, Sergey Lebedev was quoted as saying by the YIEF press service.
The delegation arrived in Crimea to take part in a number of events dedicated to the Russian-Italian and the Crimean-Italian relations, common cultural heritage and economic projects. The delegates are also expected to discuss Italy's participation in the upcoming YIEF.
