MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, the elections kicked off in the nation of 600,000 people to distribute the 81 seats of the unicameral parliament, the Skupstina.
"Voter turnout till 8 p.m. in 2012 Parliamentary Elections was 70.5 percent, while in Presidential Elections it was 63.9%," the CDT posted on its official Twitter page, also publishing data showing a 73.2 percent turnout as of 8 p.m. local time.
According to the September pre-election polls, the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro (DPS) is set to receive the majority of votes, as it did in 2012.
