WikiLeaks Releases 9th Batch of Clinton Campaign Chairman's Emails
13:48 GMT 16.10.2016 (Updated: 11:20 GMT 06.08.2022) The new release of emails of US Democratic party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta appeared on the WikiLeaks website.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — WikiLeaks uploaded on Sunday a fresh batch of emails of US Democratic party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta on its website.
The new release brings the total number of Podesta's emails leaked so far by the whistleblowing site to over 12,000.
15 October 2016, 17:14 GMT
On October 8, WikiLeaks released the first portion of Podesta's emails containing what the website claimed to be excerpts from the paid speeches Clinton made for The Wall Street in 2013-2014.
In July, WikiLeaks published nearly 20,000 hacked emails that apparently showed DNC members discussing ways to undercut Clinton's rival Bernie Sanders in the race for the Democratic nomination.
