Russia to Discuss With OPEC Target Month at Which Level to Freeze Oil Output
LONDON (Sputnik) — The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has not yet discussed the level at which Russia would be recommended to limit oil production amid ongoing consultations, OPEC Secretary General Mohammad Barkindo said Tuesday.

Barkindo, who spoke with reporters on the first of the two-day Oil & Money conference in London, also voiced optimism about reaching an oil market stabilization agreement at its meeting in Vienna next month.

He added that invitations for major oil producing countries to attend the meeting on November 30 would be sent out later Tuesday.

The major oil producers are expected to announce the date when to introduce a 32.5-33 million barrels per day oil output ceiling in Vienna. OPEC member states set the output ceiling in a preliminary agreement achieved on September 28.
