"We will make an attempt now to deploy an armed OSCE mission, which we call a police mission, which will ensure security during elections, as well as during the transitional period. I can stress that the Russian side also supported the necessity to deploy the armed police mission of OSCE," Poroshenko said at a briefing following the Normandy Four meeting.
"We have been supported and we are waiting for our German colleagues, who are now chairing the OSCE, to make steps to raise this issue at the OSCE," Poroshenko told reporters.
Poroshenko also said that the foreign ministers of the Normandy Four countries should approve the framework of the road map on settling the Ukrainian crisis by the end of November.
"By the end of November the foreign ministers during a meeting will approve the framework of the 'road map' and determine main points that the 'road map' should cover," Poroshenko said during press conference.
"We don't have a document, it [the road map] is not signed, we've agreed, all four participants of the Normandy format, that it is important to concentrate now on developing a full-fledged road map which will include a section on security, and we discussed what should be included in it, a political section and a humanitarian section… No documents were signed today and we did not plan on it," Poroshenko said.
"We've agreed that within a month the ministers will meet once more to sum up the results and prepare our new meeting," Poroshenko said at a press conference in Berlin after the Normandy Four meeting on the Donbass crisis settlement.
