BERLIN (Sputnik) — The agenda of the four-way talks involving Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko includes assessment of progress in the implementation of Minsk peace accords for Ukraine.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier on Wednesday that Moscow did not expect any breakthroughs in Ukrainian crisis settlement at Berlin talks, but viewed the summit as a fresh opportunity to share its position with partners at discussions.
The leaders are likely to extend the discussion to the situation around the embattled city of Aleppo in Syria, according to Western sources.
