LONDON (Sputnik) — On Thursday and Friday, the European leaders are meeting in Brussels to discuss a number of issues essential for the bloc, such as trade, migration and relations with Russia, including Moscow's role in the Syrian conflict.
"We must continue to work together and it is vital that we work together to continue to put pressure on Russia [in the context of its activities in Syria]," May told reporters on arrival to the European Council.
She added that the European stance in regard to Russia should be "robust and united."
Earlier in October, several European politicians, including Germany's special coordinator for Russia policy Gernot Erler brought the idea of introducing restrictions against Russia over the worsening humanitarian situation in Syria's Aleppo.
