ST. PETERSBURG (Sputnik) — Military units operating Iskander-M mobile missile systems conducted fire exercises in Russia's Western Military District, the district's press service said Thursday.
"The units operating Iskander-M mobile missile systems held training sessions on targeting missile launches at the Luzhsky range of the Western Military District. Tactical drills were held as part of the 2016 checks," the press service said.
The district's commanders evaluated the servicemen's skills in firing at targets simulating command centers and radar stations at the distance of several hundred kilometers.
About 100 servicemen took part in the exercise, with over 20 equipment units.
