As per officials of forest Department the killed tigress was around 5-6 years old.
Wildlife experts do not see the killing of the animals a solution to conflicts between man and animals, which have been the rise due to increasing encroachment of wildlife habitats. They advocate for better wildlife management, but according to a forest official who was involved in the operation, conservation of the animals cannot be at the cost of human life, especially in case where the animal has turned to eating humans.
