MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Thursday publication includes seven files with emails with most of them having been sent by US Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's campaign chair John Podesta.
One of the emails revealed an email address that was possibly used by Obama before he was elected US president — bobama@ameritech.com.
That is the first time Wikileaks published Obama’s emails. Since October 8, WikiLeaks has released 13 batches of emails of Clinton.
The previously published emails gave insight into the early stages of mapping out Clinton's presidential campaign strategy.
The letters revealed, for example, that Clinton reversed her position on free trade agreements from enthusiastic support to strong opposition, as trade deals appeared to be a hot-button issue for many voters and one of the main talking points for Clinton's Democratic Party rival Senator Bernie Sanders and Republican candidate Donald Trump.
