MOSCOW (Sputnik) – US authorities arrested two Russian nationals Dmitry Karpenko and Alexei Krutilin on allegations of plans to export controlled microelectronics to Russia, the US Department of Justice Said earlier this month.
“The situation is uncertain … Yet again the accusations are serious, but there is no evidence yet. We shall continue providing them with both consular and legal support,” Dolgov said in an interview.
Karpenko and Krutilin were arrested in Denver, Colorado.
According to the US Justice Department, the stolen microelectronics included digital-to-analog converters and integrated circuits often used in radar and surveillance military systems, missile guidance systems and satellites.
