MINSK (Sputnik) — Belarus and the United States have signed a military cooperation plan for the next year during a meeting of representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry and the US Department of Defense in Washington on October 20, the Defense Ministry said on Friday.
“The main result of the meeting was signing of a joint declaration on cooperation between the Defense Ministry of Belarus and the United States Department of Defense, as well as of the bilateral military cooperation plan for the year of 2017,” the ministry statement said.
It also noted that during the meeting the sides discussed perspective directions of the US-Belarusian cooperation in the military sphere.
According to priorities of the foreign policy of Belarus, published by the Foreign Ministry on its website, the country stands for developing a "constructive and equal dialogue" with the United States.
