The leaders of the Normandy Four group to continue working together on the situation in Eastern Ukraine makes up to a certain extent for the lack of common ground, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Kremlin spokesman added that German Chancellor Angela Merkel's administration provided "ideal working conditions" for the Wednesday talks in Berlin.

"At this point the lack of mutual understanding is at least partially compensated by the readiness of the leaders to continue working in the Normandy Four format," Peskov said in an interview to "Vesti v Subbotu" show, following the most recent Normandy Four meeting on October 19.
