MOSCOW (Sputnik) — US Republican Party Nominee Donald Trump is ahead of his Democratic Party opponent Hillary Clinton by 0.3 points with only two weeks left before the US elections, SC/Los Angeles Times Daybreak tracking poll showed on Sunday,
Trump was polling at 44.4 percent, with Clinton lagging behind at 44.1, according to the LA Times poll.
The Daybreak results are at odds with other major polls, who mostly have Clinton polling higher than Trump, which is explained by the poll's method, Instead of asking a yes or no question like other polls do, Daybreak asks the respondents to measure the likelihood of their voting for a candidate on a scale from 0 to 100.
The unusual polling technique allowed to predict Barack Obama's win in the 2012 elections with a very high exactitude.
The US presidential elections will take place on November 8, but early voting has already begun.
