WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — From 2014 to 2015, trade between Canada and Bangladesh increased by 25 percent, totaling $2.4 billion last year, which makes Bangladesh Canada’s second-largest trading partner in South Asia, the release noted.
"Canada and Bangladesh have a long-standing bilateral relationship, with ample opportunity to grow, especially in the areas of development and security cooperation, trade and investment, and people-to-people links," Dion stated in the release.
The two ministers will also review elements of the Canada-Bangladesh relationship and discuss continued collaboration on issues of mutual concern, including security, commerce and climate change, the release pointed out.
