WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The release noted that the proposed sale contributes to the foreign policy and national security of the United States by improving the UAE’s ability to employ its fighter aircraft in multi-country coalition exercises.
"The government of the UAE requested a possible sale to include… aerial refueling, airlift and ferry support, training aids/devices/munitions, technical and logistics support services, and other related elements of logistical and program support," the release explained. "The estimated cost is $75 million."
DSCA delivered the required notification to the US Congress last week, which will allow the sale to go ahead, the release said.
The UAE is a US coalition partner in the fight against the Daesh terrorist group and Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
