MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Western media's reluctance to cover the activities of Russian and Syrian government militaries in Aleppo causes regret, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.
"Of course, the selective coverage of events in Syria is evident. There is reluctance to pay due attention on the part of our major foreign media colleagues, especially Anglo-Saxon. The reluctance to cover the activities of the Russian military and the Syrian armed forces there are also evident," Peskov told reporters.
"In this connection, we express regret and of course call on Russian colleagues in the media to be more careful and more balanced in presenting information," the spokesman stressed.
He added that the Russian military is working to organize a visit of Western journalists to Aleppo to facilitate better coverage.
