MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The forum, which has been taking place every year since 2012, was organized by the Russian Economic Development Ministry, the Moscow government and the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology, among others. It aims to "exchange of practical experience, the promotion of leading research studies and development projects, the creation of new mechanisms of international cooperation in the field of innovation."
Top managers of Russian and foreign corporations, investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, experts in the field of high technologies and representatives of public authorities are expected to participate.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is expected to speak at this year's forum.
The first Eurasian Week annual forum and expo held by the members of the Eurasian Economic Union and Eurasian economic Commission will also take place on the sidelines of the forum.
The past speakers of the forum include then-French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang and Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, among others.
