MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Approval rating of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s job in October reached 84 percent, a poll conducted by the Moscow-based non-profit Levada Center revealed on Wednesday.
Putin's October approval rate is 2 percent higher than 82 percent of respondents' support he had from July to September. The current Putin’s approval rate is 4 percent lower than in October 2015.
At the same time, 16 percent of respondents said they are not satisfied with the president’s job.
Over a half of Russians (55 percent) believe that their country is heading in the right direction, which is 6 percent lower than last year. Thirty percent of the Russian citizens believe in the opposite.
The survey was conducted on October 21-24 among 1,600 people across 137 settlements in the 48 regions of Russia.
